Novellas are stories in the 25k-50k word range. Too long to be called “short” and just a bit too short to be considered full novels, they exist in a sort of no man’s land. I’ve written several of them in my life. In fact, The Blood That Bonds started its life as a novella, back when I was nineteen years old.
The two works below were both run, a page at a time, on my old website. Each page was written at most a few days in advance of posting it, so both stories are a bit rough (neither have undergone any editing, either). Nonetheless, I’ve received a lot of positive feedback on both, and so I’ve continued to make them available.

- Voices – The story of a group of young adults living in New York, each blessed with an extraordinary power, and how they come together in an attempt to “do the right thing” with their talents.
- Persephone’s Fall – A modern retelling of the Greek myth, the story features Persephone, Hades, Zeus and Demeter, but takes place in modern Manhattan. I originally created illustrations for each update, and may some day hire someone with more talent in that department to re-work them.

I love your story about Persephone. I first read it four years ago, and I’ve read it twice more since then. Tonight I remembered it but had forgotten what your website was. I almost had a panic attack because I thought I might never be able to read it again! Thank you for keeping it available online. I love the original myth, and the spin you put on it is very interesting and original. I must say, though, I miss your illustrations. You downplay them, but I thought they fit the story well.

Voices was an awesome book to read ~ I agree that it needs to either be made into a series or at least some kind of continuation of the story. You are now one of my favorite authors to read! Keep up the fantastic work.
